Got this survey passed along through email:
Would you attend a statewide summit of young professionals? If so, what would you like to get out of it? Let them know!
As you may know, a planning committee made up of representatives from YP organizations around the state is pursuing a “Summit of Young Professionals” to take place in Columbus sometime during the spring of 2008.
To assist the planning committee with producing an event that will be meaningful and enlightening for you and your peers, please take a few moments to complete an opinion survey by clicking the link below. Keep in mind that the summit is intended to draw YPs from across Ohio.
Is “good time” a valid answer?
If the question is “Would you attend a statewide summit of young professionals?” then no, “good time” is not really a valid answer.
I was looking at “what would you like to get out of it”…but in all seriousness.
I would probably go if it was in Columbus but I doubt I would go to Cinn/Cleveland for it.
I would be interested to see what the agenda is for the event. Its important to remember that these are our guests, so lets be great hosts. The event needs to fun, it can’t be an event where one or a handful of people do most of the talking – this should be a community event.
I would engage both Cinn/Cleve to host something as well. Maybe a MLB outing. Something that Columbus doesn’t have but you have to be fair to your partner cities.
However it shouldn’t be all fun in games – the group should plan to be more. Have a voice on issues and try to take action. Nothing is worse than an “all talk” attitude. What issues? Well I guess thats for the community to decide.
