Why you should attend the North Market Apron Gala

north-marketThe annual North Market Apron Gala fundraiser event is coming up on May 16th. “Fundraiser” sounds boring, right? This is anything but. Essentially, this event is a private after-hours party on a Saturday night at the North Market. You pay the entry fee and then you’re free to graze all of the wonderful food that all of the vendors put out… samples, snacks, hors dourves, desserts, as well wine and beer to wash it all down.

Anne & I went for the first time last year and had a blast. Anyone who considers themselves a “foodie” should be attending this event. Lots of new things to try out, and it’s all for a good cause too. The tickets are $75 each, but the funds go directly towards keeping the North Market operating.

If you’re unfamiliar with the operational structure at the North Market, the vendors inside the market are for-profit small businesses… but the market itself is a non-profit entity that manages the operations of the building, special events, marketing, and everything else that makes the North Market an awesome part of Columbus culture.

So if you’re on the fence, take my word for it and give it a shot. Support the market, and fill your belly with a night of delicious food and drink! And if you need tickets, I’ve got some to sell. Either leave a comment or send me an email at walkerevans@columbusunderground.com.
