Early on Thursday morning, someone posted a rumor on ColumbusUnderground that the local Smith & Wollensky restaurant at Easton was being “busted” by the State of Ohio for their illegal practice of refilling top-shelf bottles of alcohol with cheaper liquor.
Later that afternoon the rumor was confirmed by The Dispatch as an investigation was underway.
Since then, we’ve had a few former employees of Smith & Wollensky stepping up on Columbus Underground to offer their opinions on this issue. There’s a lot of interesting information coming out of it if you’re someone following this story. One person posted here. The other is here.
