Oh man, I am so sore today. I’m getting old. 2-3 hours of carrying around the kiddo at the Highball last night combined with another 2-3 hours of breaking down tables and loading and unloading trucks really left me feeling like I got beat up last night. Didn’t get to bed until around 3:30am.
Regardless, I had an awesome time attending, and a great time volunteering too. I was really impressed with the turnout for a first-year event, and the level of support from the volunteers and community was wonderful. There were a few glitches here and there that I spotted, but nothing major at all and easily correctable in the future. Surprisingly, the area was fairly clean at the end of the night aside from some expected trash here and there. Most everyone seemed really respectful and were out to have a good time.
