Last weekend while I was walking around the new Huntington Park Stadium, I decided to take a few other photos around the Arena District on my way back up to High Street to catch the bus home. These are mostly taken from the roof decks of parking garages in the area. I’m by no means a professional photographer… just like to play around with the camera… and parking garage roofs are one of my favorite places to do that from. Enjoy!

Did you edit those photos somehow? They have a surreal quality that makes them look like scale models or artists’ renderings.
They’re all a slight bit photoshopped. Mostly a bit of color, contrast, and exposure adjustment. The light out that day was very nice though, and that always helps. And I did add a little bit of an edge blurring effect to the two train track shots.
It’s funny because the streets look pretty empty if you look down at the sidewalks and whatnot. Meanwhile, 10,000+ people are situated directly behind me inside Huntington Park while I’m taking all of these.
I was talking to a friend who went to the Clippers game last night and said with the Blue Jackets also going on it was just packed downtown. I think Huntington Park will be great for the Arena District in a way that Cooper Stadium unfortunately never was for Franklinton.
That’s exactly what I was thinking! These look like models. And it’s because the streets are empty, and there are NO PEOPLE anywhere in the photos. How strange.
