Roughly two months ago I was asked to serve on the Young Professionals Commission being established by the city of Columbus. I promptly agreed, seeing this as an opportunity to share some of my opinions on some local topics that I have a pretty strong interest in. As I thought more about it, I realized I could probably do more good sharing not only my own opinions, but the opinions of others as well, which is why I decided to create this blog.
This is blog is sort of a hybrid between my older personal blog (minus most of the more personal topics), my ColumBlogs project (except with a wider technology angle that goes beyond blogging), and a new space to serve as a middle-man-medium between my experiences with these committees, meetings, commissions, and YOU.
Anyway, after two months of mostly thumb-twiddling as far as this YP Committee goes (which was probably a good thing because I’ve been extremely busy with other things) I’ve finally gotten word on the first meeting coming up next week.
So now that things are moving forward, I figured it was time to start pumping this information online. There will be a lot more coming in the next few weeks, so stay tuned for that. And drop me a note if there’s anything specific you want to know, or would like to see.
