Rumor Mill: Green McDonald’s in the Short North

I read this comment here on Columbus RetroMetro and thought it was worth repeating on Columbus Underground last week. It stirred up quite the discussion, as I figured it probably would. Here’s the quote that kicked things off:

Rumor has that a McDonald’s exec read about the Short North in the NYTimes and was inspired by the arches on her visit. She wants to take these 2 spaces and open new concept called the Green Arches which will offer veggie burgers and soy shakes (”would you like hummus with that?”).

Does anyone know if this rumor has any legs? Sounds pretty wild to me.
