Peach Milkshakes at Chik-Fil-A

chik-fil-a_logoSo… about a week ago I got a press release from someone at Chik-Fil-A talking about their new Peach Milkshakes. My email address must be on some sort of world tour in the realm of national pr/marketing, because I get at least 15-20 things like this every day that have very little to do with Columbus. I mostly delete them without a second thought, as posting up press release info for a chain like Chik-Fil-A is pretty silly for CU… even though they’re one chain that Anne & I do enjoy from time to time (when we’re up for the short-yet-awful drive down to Stringtown Road).

Anyway… this time I decided to respond to the PR person and ask if they had any free sample coupons for me to give their new product a try. He said “of course” and asked for my mailing address. A few days later we were bombarded with free milkshake coupons, and have been giving them out to friends who come over.

So tonight we decided to make the trek down to actually try it out for ourselves. I’ve often got their cookies & cream milkshake, and always thought it was a decent shake.

The verdict: not too shabby at all. Pretty much what you’d expect. Peachy. Chunks of peaches in it. They call them “hand-spun”. I’m not really sure what that means, as I’ve never worked as a milkshake maker, but I’m just happy that they actually use their soft serve icecream when making them instead of the ice-cream-free “shake mix” used at places like McDonald’s.

Maybe not the most healthy item on the menu, nor the most authentic milk shake you can find in Columbus, but not bad either.

Would I order one again? Most likely.

Anyone else try these out yet?
