I can’t say I’m extremely happy with how this turned out. Kyle Ezell added the “corrections” to the YouTube version of the broadcast and they pretty much echo my feelings about it. Mike Reed spent about 10-15 minutes explaining what this idea/concept is all about and they didn’t use any of that footage or audio at all. And somehow they managed to focus only on painting, which is included but not exclusive to this movement.
So while the coverage is nice, it really missed the point by quite a bit. Perhaps some other local media outlets will do a better job.
I’m sure putting the news together is a toughie. There was also a bomb yesterday (no details… I ignored it). Lotta ins, lotta outs.
That said, I’d love to continue the conversation with all levels of media outlets.
Sure, I know they have some serious time restraints and deadline crunches. And any press is good press, especially at this early of a stage.
I’m not trying to sound ungrateful or anything… I guess I just had my expectations set pretty high.
