I got up this morning and made breakfast for Anne to celebrate Mother’s Day with her. I make breakfast fairly regularly, though… so I knew I’d have to get a little more fancy than the usual pancakes or french toast. So today I busted out the waffle iron and made some waffles from scratch, sliced up some strawberries, and even tried my hand at making some homemade whipped cream. Anne and Desi both really enjoyed it, and I was glad that it all seemed to turn out pretty well (photographic evidence below).
