Experience Columbus hosts Blogging Event Today

Experience Columbus will be unveiling a new marketing campaign this afternoon at a special event only for bloggers. The event takes place at the Experience Columbus space in the Arena District at 6pm today. If you’re a blogger interested in attending, you can RSVP by leaving a blog comment here.

The event will include some local snacks (Jeni’s ice cream, Brownie Points) and free t-shirts from Skreened. There will be free wifi available for anyone to use to liveblog with.

The mainstream media has not been invited to take part in this event, so this will be the local online media’s chance to be the first to check out this new marketing campaign and get the scoop.

    My only comment is…

When promoting an event, it’s nice to leave an address so people won’t have to jump from site to site. The Arena district has a lot of spaces.

The Experience Columbus location is here:
    277 W. Nationwide Blvd., Ste. 125
    Columbus, OH 43215
    614-221-6623, 800-354-2657

Sorry about that. I guess I was under the impression that everyone knows where the Experience Columbus Visitors Center is located. ;)

Also, in an ideal world folks will RSVP rather than just showing up unannounced – otherwise we may not have enough snacks and treats and giveaways for everyone.

    Thanks, Walker!

    Walker,

Thanks for posting the Experience Columbus event to your site. It certainly sparked interest among your readers.

We’ve been following the posts with interest on ColumbusUnderground and we’re paying close attention to the various sentiments of our new campaign. It is encouraging to know that our community cares so much about our city.

Through many of the comments, we’re learning what works and what doesn’t work about the campaign. We will continue to evovle it over time. In fact we’re already working on some changes to the videos.

    Thanks again,

    Pete
