Devon Palmer just started up a great thread on Columbus Underground about the good, bad, and hopefully not-too-ugly of Comfest 2008. There’s been a bit of discussion here and here about some complaints and how Comfest has gone from “Community Festival” to “Excuse to get Drunk” in more recent years.
Personally, I’ve always had a good time at ComFest, but we’re usually there during the day. This year we lucked out and missed the rain on Saturday being there earlier in the day, picked up a great Christmas ornament from Turned & Burned, grabbed some pitas from Firdous, and stopped by a friend’s house party. It seems like things can get a bit rowdier at night, especially after people have been drinking in the sun all day.
