Dear Columbus Underground and Consider Biking Members,

Your work on Saturday clearing litter from part of the downtown bike path network made a remarkable difference. 900 pounds of trash was collected by twenty people. That’s 45 pounds per person! It might be a Keep Columbus Beautiful record.

Next time I plan to join you, with donuts. Why do I say ‘next time’? Because you did such a great job I’d like to discuss working together to get more of the bike path network adopted.

First-time cleanups are labor intensive, and the portion you selected was badly in need of attention. Maintaining the litter-free bike path won’t take nearly as long next time.

So what do you say? Can we do it again?
