The Painted Surface
MadLab Gallery, located at 105 N. Grant Avenue, will present a juried show featuring more than 20 works by 9 artists in conjunction with MadLab Theatre’s presentation of the improv treat “What’s on Your Mind?” Inspired by the open attitude of improv theater, our theme of “The Painted Surface” only had one requirement: there must be paint somewhere on the piece! We have modified chairs, baby dolls and even a tiny fishing lure! The more traditional canvas works embrace a variety of paint application as well from bold splashes to subtle brush work.
Featured artists are: Jeffrey Allen, Thea Bella, Heather Cornelius, Michael Coronado, Tom Kelly, Mark Peck, Jeanette Spring, Julie Tomich and Kate Wightman.
Please join us for “The Painted Surface”. The show runs from January 24 through February 16th. Our opening celebration is Saturday, January 26th. Come see the exhibit and stay for the show!
