If you’re just tuning in, I just completed my first monthly “challenge” which is quickly becoming a much better replacement for the concept of New Year’s “resolutions“. This series of opened-ended challenges allows people to define their own goals and then document them in some sort of online format to encourage others to participate as well. The idea of changing up the challenge every month is to ensure that people don’t burn out as quickly and others can join in as they see fit throughout the year. You don’t have to start on January first.
So… how did I do? My original intent was to promote Independent Arts in Columbus both online and in person. I posted at least one post per day on my blog about various art events, initiatives, gallery shows, and highlighted artists. I did my best to attend art-related events this past month, which included the grand opening of the OSU Urban Art Space downtown, the opening of new exhibits at the Wexner Center, Spark at Junctionview, and Infographics at CCAD. All in all, I’d say it was a fairly successful adventure. And nothing I’m going to stop for the rest of the year either.
What did you do in February?
