Personally, I’m not a fan of Columbus getting a rail system that runs either above ground (like a monorail) or below ground (like a subway). We need something at street level to encourage more street level activity. The big complain about downtown is that no one is on the streets after 5pm on weekdays. How would it help to put people up in the air?
It’s the same sort of problem we face with our skywalks. You can’t get good sidewalk retailers when you put people up above the stores in skywalks between businesses and parking garages.
