614 Magazine – Advisory Board Retirement

Back in November, I posted the press release for 614 Magazine, which is scheduled to launch in April 2009. I was asked to be on the advisory board last summer, and agreed to assist by offering my input and ideas for this new print publication. A demo/beta issue was created for November 2008 (cover pictured here), and the official launch is still scheduled for April.

As of yesterday, my role on the advisory board has been discontinued, but I plan on potentially still being a regular content contributor to the magazine. I produced two news columns for the beta issue that highlight updates to the local dining scene and the local urban development scene.

I had been collecting a lot of feedback online for the magazine and just wanted to provide everyone with a quick update to let you all know that my role with the magazine is now minimal.

What does “my role on the advisory board has been discontinued” mean?

I can’t really ascertain who left who from that statement.

Well, we discussed some things over, potential conflicts of interest, and agreed it would be best for both parties to go separate directions.

There’s absolutely zero hard feelings. I hope the magazine does well, and I think it’s in capable hands with Clark & Wayne & David.

I mainly posted this just to let people know that they don’t need to be sending me feedback on the magazine anymore. ;)

  3. Too bad, especially for them. The majority of the publicity I saw was about you being involved in the project.
